Hello and welcome to tearoom explorers – we’re so glad you found us. This website is dedicated to all of us who love a great tearoom. As one of the fans of tearoom explorers quipped “There’s more to life than Starbucks!”

We, Ann and Sal, are your very own ‘Tearoom Explorers’. Look out for us driving around in a bright blue car emblazoned with a happy ‘tearoom explorers’ logo on the side. We want to share where to find the very best tea and food in Scotland. All created by people who run independently owned tearooms. We started tearoom exploring after covid when we saddened to find out how many treasured gems were not able to re-open. Seeking a future in which the independent tearoom is at the heart of Scottish community life. Fascinated by the people who set up these enterprise, we know you too will enjoy meeting these inspirational and wonderful characters here.
