Celebrating the best of Moray and beyond

The Bothy Bistro and Bar at Burghead

There simply is nothing better than a bacon butty for breakfast is there?  And one of the best we have ever tasted is at the Bothy in Burghead – a wonderful place that prides itself on using the best, local, fresh ingredients available.  It was a cool morning when we arrived and wonderful to enter this warm and welcoming café where the log burner was lit and the smell of coffee filled the room was wonderful.    For this lovely place it is the provenance of the food that is important – knowing where the ingredients are caught, farmed, grown or pickles be that scallops, venison, mussels or cheese.  Therefore the menu changes regularly to reflect what is in season.   A true celebration of the best produce from Moray and beyond.
